This JP Special Polished Steel Pick Head Firefighter Axe comes with a 4 lb. head and a 28 in. wood handle. Fire Axe Inc. designed this axe with a 10.25 in. head and streamlined cross-section that equalizes the balance from front-to-back to side-to-side. With the weight centered exactly over the handle’s axis, firefighters can rely on this axe for an easier and more precise swing.
