This tool is heavy duty and economical. Its 6 in. wide head is sharpened on the curved bottom cutting edge only. The handle is a #2 select hickory (uses HH40 Replacement Handle) which means it may have slight flaws that do not affect its strength. It makes a great economical start to your trail building tool collection.
