ITEM #: CREWPROTECT 20CFM 12V TFT

TFT CrewProtect 20 Cab Air Decontamination Unit - 12VDC

TFT’s CrewProtect 20 Cab Air Decontamination Unit is compact for mounting in the cab of smaller new and in-service emergency apparatus such as ambulance driving compartments, Chief’s vehicles, wildland trucks, and tiller cabs. The unit purifies the air by reducing particulates and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). The CrewProtect 20 shall also reduce aerosols carrying viruses and bacteria by over 99%.

The unit can be mounted horizontally, vertically, or inverted using the provided mounting brackets. The system connects to 12 volts DC, only drawing 2 amps, and runs whenever the apparatus is operating. The unit shall have an airflow rate of 20 CFM (0.57 cubic m./min.) and operate at 45 decibels, below the NFPA maximum of 90 decibels. The unit will exchange the air every 3.5 min. in an average small apparatus cab of 65 cubic ft. (1.8 cubic m).

A single replacement cartridge element uses RFID technology to assure correct replacement cartridges are installed. The unit will not operate unless the correct RFID cartridge is installed, to provide protection for the crew. The current condition of the cartridge is tracked by three LED lights, green, amber, and red, on the prominent face of the unit.
