This simple firefighting axe combines the utility and strength of both a pick-head and flat-head axe. The Lonestar Axe Notched PIG weights only 8 lbs, making it easier to carry and use. The PIG is capable of forcible entry, roof ventilations, breaching walls, breaking locks, and pulling down shiplap, drywall, trim, and lathe and plaster.

The head of this firefighting tool is cast from tool steel and has a coating of black oxide to help reduce rusting. A notch in the head allows you to combine the PIG with a halligan bar, creating a set of irons. Firefighters can carry and hold the PIG by its Nupla slimfit fiberglass handle, designed to withstand rough treatment.
