This JP Special Polished Steel Pick Head Firefighter Axe comes with a 4 lb. head and a 28 inch wood handle. Fire Axe Inc. designed this axe with a 10 ¼” head and streamlined cross-section that equalizes the balance from front-to-back to side-to-side. With the weight centered exactly over the handle’s axis, firefighters can rely on this axe for an easier and more precise swing.

The head of this axe is securely mounted to its wooden handle. For added protection from impact, an integral guard extends down the head’s blade side for enhanced rigidity. The pick side, designed for maximizing your ability to create holes wherever you need, measures 3.625”.
