Council Tool 1.5lb Sport Utility Pickaroon with 36" Curved Hickory Handle

With a forged tool steel head, this 1.5lb Sport Utility Pickaroon has been heat treated to produce a fine grain structure and RC 45-55 (Rockwell Hardness Values). Made in the USA, the body of this pickaroon has been coated in red enamel to fight against rust development.

This firefighter pickaroon has a 36" American hickory handle treated with eye section drying to below 10% moisture for reduced shrinkage and loosening. The axe head is hydraulically seated onto the handle, secured for a strong fit with a poplar and steel wedge.
