Repeated soaking and drying of leather can damage the fibers, causing boots to become stiff and eventually ruin the snug fit. Danner Waterproofing Gel blocks water from the outside without compromising breathability. Boots with a GORE-TEX liner are waterproof, but treating the leather is important in order to prevent the creation of water spots between the leather and the GORE-TEX liner. Danner does not recommend using Danner Waterproofing Gel on nubuck, suede or rough-out leathers.

Waterproofing Gel

For use on full-grain leather only, best when used with Danner Leather Cleaner and Conditioner. For nubuck, suede or rough-out leather, please use Danner's Waterproofing Spray.

Instructions For Use

For use on full-grain leather only. Once the full-grain leather boots have been cleaned, apply the waterproofing gel with a clean rag and work the substance deep into the pores of the leather. Allow the boots to dry for a few minutes and then wipe away the excess gel. Reapply when you notice the boots taking on excess water.

Disclaimer

Boot care products may cause stains or result in darkening of leather. Danner suggests testing this product on a small area before applying it to the entire boot. Please follow the instructions on the package and be sure to wipe away any excess boot care product before storing.
