This 1.5 lb. Sport Utility Pickaroon from Council Tool offers a highly durable head forged from tool steel, a material that can stand up to even the toughest missions.

Made in the USA, the working end of this firefighter tool has a Rc 45-55 (Rockwell Hardness Values), making it a hardy and reliable tool. To deter rust, the body of this firefighting pickaroon is coated with red enamel.

The axe head is hydraulically seated onto a 28 in. American hickory handle, secured with a poplar and steel wedge. The handle has an eye section that minimizes loosening and shrinkage thanks to drying the piece to below 10% moisture. The eye has a tapered interior allowing for a strong mechanical bond.
