TFT 6 in. Female Low-Level Strainer

The flotation device enables TFT high volume low-level strainers to gather clean water from ponds, lakes, and rivers. The strainer intake, made of hard anodized and powder-coated metal, hangs 18 in. below the water level to prevent sucking surface air and bottom particles.

The strainer can accommodate up to 30 ft. of hose and extends well beyond the safety ledges of home ponds. The clog-resistant stainless steel filter offers over twice the flow area of a 6 in. hose. This keeps friction loss to 0.5 psi at 1500 gpm and reduces the possibility of air vortexes forming. The oversized sealed ball pivot provides for a 45° variation of hose angle without restricting the flow channel.

The Jet Siphon significantly improves suction lift capability and is also beneficial for tank shuttle, pump priming, and dewatering without the need for a garbage pump. Jet Siphon's 1.5 in. female hose threaded connection pivots smoothly in any direction to prevent hose kinks. The rugged plastic float is yellow for maximum visibility and nests compactly over the strainer for little storage space. Float removal is not required for low-level operation, but a tethered latching hinge pin allows the float to be withdrawn or placed rapidly if needed.
