For the Record: Report Writing for the Fire Service, 3rd Edition
For basic, remedial, and advanced training in producing quality incident and fire investigation reports, a thorough text and workbook have been created. This exciting new edition, which has been in print for more than 30 years, includes new material that was developed in partnership with co-author Laz Lahera and is specifically relevant to fire department reports.
It also has all the previous edition's essential instructional material. Lahera is a retired company officer with 30 years of experience in the fire service, a member of a major department, and a current fire service lecturer at Miramar College in Southern California for the Fire Protection Technology Program.
The first section of this volume covers all the key ideas and applications from the previous edition while concentrating on the fundamentals of report writing—skills that can be used for any kind of report writing. The second segment, which is entirely new, focuses on report writing in the fire service. The writing-related tasks and additional exposure provided in Section 2 are intended for students and fire service professionals.
