Hot Shield HS-2 Wildland Firefighter Face Protector Mask
The Hot Shield Wildland Face Protector Mask Model HS-2 is a face mask designed by firefighters specifically for wildland firefighting to protect face & neck areas while providing a measure of respiratory relief. The HS-2 is constructed of multiple layers of CarbonX brand fabric.
CarbonX is the only inherently non-flammable fabric in the world and these fabrics have been third party tested to achieve a RPP rating of 11 cal/square cm. and a TPP rating of 10 cal / square cm. (in only one single layer!). HS-2 model provides primarily heat/flame & burning embers protection to major portions of the face & neck, and secondarily, a measure of respiratory relief.
Integral filter pocket accepts any low-level N-95 particulate respirator filter. Fastens right behind the neck with Velcro closures. An adjustable length strap allows the HS-2 to hang below the neck keeping it off the face when not needed, but allowing for immediate donning when needed. Washable. 3M reflective trim for nighttime visibility. Packaged with (1) one N-95 activated carbon nuisance level respirator filter with exhalation valve. One size fits all. One year warranty.
