#3 - Hazard Control & Safety
Explains that ensuring the safety of the response team and the patient during a rescue is the first priority. Helps responders develop an awareness of the hazards a wrecked motor vehicle can present and shows how to mitigate those hazards. Demonstrates proper procedures for working with and around glass, airbags, roll-bars, electrical systems and seatbelt pretensioners to ensure a safe and efficient rescue response. Also covers safely dealing with extrication hazards presented by hybrid vehicles.
